Dr. John pastor was born and raised in Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University, School of Medicine in 1998 where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honor society, and received achievement awards in Psychiatry and Neuroscience. He completed his residency in Psychiatry, and fellowship in Child Psychiatry at University of Washington School of Medicine. He served as Chief Resident in Child Psychiatry  and obtained/maintains board certification in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Pastor has worked in numerous inpatient settings and provided psychiatric consultation to teen centers in several Seattle high schools. He has been in private practice at Interlake Psychiatric Associates since 2003.


At Interlake Psychiatric Associates, Dr. Pastor provides psychiatric assessment and treatment including pharmacotherapy, individual and family therapy, consultation with schools, therapists, and other physicians in care of his patients. He is well-established in the Seattle area as providing innovative treatment to his patients. Dr. Pastor prioritizes building trusting and supportive relationships with his patients and their families. Dr. Pastor also volunteers as a co-facilitator for a support group called Unsilenced for individuals who have experienced abuse in the Troubled Teen Industry. In his spare time, Dr. Pastor stays highly active by playing pickleball, hiking, and biking. He is the proud father of two sons, whom he continues to frequently compete with.
