Dr. Pastor is a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist who earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1996. She completed her residency at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, in 2000, and obtained board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2002. Prior to joining IPA, Dr. Pastor served as an attending psychiatrist at Compass Health, providing care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings across a range of mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. She also spent several years working at Harborview Medical Center as an assistant professor following her residency. In 2019, Dr. Pastor established her private practice at Interlake Psychiatric Associates, offering medication management and psychotherapy services. She has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of various mental health conditions, including major depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, and ADHD. Dr. Pastor has particular expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders, including OCD, and in addressing mental health challenges in late adolescence and early adulthood. She is proficient in psychopharmacology and views medications as valuable tools for symptom management and supporting engagement in therapy. Dr. Pastor is committed to providing compassionate care and believes in approaching patients with kindness and understanding. In her free time, she enjoys supporting her daughter’s softball team, taking relaxing walks with her dog Snoopy, and engaging in game nights with friends and family.
