CLAIRE PASTOR, MD
Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist
Dr. Pastor is a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist who received her medical degree from Louisiana State University, School of Medicine in 1996, and completed her residency at University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, WA in 2000. She became board-certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 2002. Prior to IPA, Dr. Pastor worked as an attending psychiatrist at Compass Health treating patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings with a broad range of mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. Additionally, Dr. Pastor spent several years after completing residency working at Harborview Medical Center as an assistant professor. In 2019, Dr. Pastor began her private practice at Interlake Psychiatric Associates, where she provides medication management and psychotherapy services to patients. Dr. Pastor has experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental health disorders including major depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD and ADHD. She has special interests in the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety disorders including OCD and in addressing mental health challenges common in late adolescence and early adulthood impacting identity development and transitions to independence. She sees medications as tools to both manage symptoms and allow time to experience the benefits of therapy. She believes in collaborative treatment including consultation with concomitant providers to coordinate care.
